L.U.C.K.Y. stands for Libraries' Unique Collection for Kids and Youth. Let's break this down so that we don't sound like your teacher talking….Basically, it works like this: Someone with a lot of money decided that you guys would probably like to be able to get the latest books, music, movies, games, and other stuff at your local library, and then donated the money to make it happen. There is a group of libraries that are sharing these things, and that way, more kids will get to use them.

The libraries that are part of L.U.C.K.Y. are:

1. Arcola Public Library (Arcola, IL)
2. Arthur Public Library (Arthur, IL)
3. Casey Township Public Library (Casey, IL)
4. Charleston Carnegie Public Library (Charleston, IL)
5. Martinsville Public Library (Martinsville, IL)
6. Helen Matthes Library (Effingham, IL)
7. Mattoon Public Library (Mattoon, IL)
8. Carnegie-Schuyler Public Library (Pana, IL)
9. Shelbyville Public Library (Shelbyville, IL)
10. Storm Memorial Public Library (Windsor, IL)

Only the libraries in the above list are able to loan out the materials in the collection. If you do not have a library card for one of these libraries, you will not be able to get your hands on all the cool stuff we have! Want a card? Click on the Get A Library Card button at the top of this page for more information.

Well, it's not just the plain old books any more. If you don't believe it, click on the buttons at the right to get an idea!

It's Simple!

All the new goodies are listed there!
